PT NUTRICIA INDONESIA SEJAHTERA, as part of the Danone Group, supports WHO's recommendations on global public health which call for exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life and continues until the age of 2 years or more, combined with the introduction of safe and appropriate complementary foods. We believe that every industry is responsible for ensuring that its marketing practices do not affect your decision to breastfeed their children optimally, in line with the WHO International Code on ASI Substitute Marketing and related regulations applicable in Indonesia.
Danone is by far the first and only company to implement a global policy that prohibits, without exception, advertising and promotion of formulas for babies up to 6 months of age and delivery products (such as bottles and pacifiers), even if permitted by local regulations. For countries that are classified as high risk (based on infant mortality and morbidity rates), Danone is expanding the ban on advertising and promoting formula for infants aged 0-12 months, this is in line with Indonesian regulations.
