Jakarta, October 26, 2016 – Based on Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2013, 37% of Indonesian children experienced stunting. In fact, Indonesia is included in the list of 17 countries with three serious nutritional problems, namely stunting, wasting, and obesity. However, this problem can be overcome one of them by fulfilling nutrition and healthy lifestyle since the beginning of life so that it has an impact on the growth and long-term health of your child.
Arif Mujahidin, Danone Communication Director explained, “We at Nutricia believe that the growth of a good child starts from the right parenting style and storytelling is one simple and easy medium with various benefits both in the process of child development and development..”

The Chairperson of the 2016 Indonesian International Fairy Tale Festival, Ariyo Zidni, stated that “The 2016 Indonesia International Fairy Tale Festival is an international fairy tale festival that has been held for the second time by Ayo Dongeng Indonesia. This year, the 2016 Indonesian International Fairy Tale Festival carries the theme of my Cerita Indonesiaku. Storytelling is a way of learning to get used to fun and meaningful interactions in the family. Through messages and fairy activities, children train important aspects of development; parents also practice effective communication techniques."
The 2016 Indonesian International Fairy Tale Festival was enlivened by the presence of various international storytellers such as Seung Ah from South Korea, Sheila Wee from Singapore, Wajuppa Tossa from Thailand, Ng Kok Keong from Malaysia, Craig Jenkins from the UK and Jeeva Raghunath from India as well as Indonesian storytellers such as , Agus Toh from Aceh, I Made Taro & Gede Tarmada from Bali, Rona Mentari from Jogjakarta, Imam Rojali from Lampung, Fanny Haurissa from Maluku, Puppetaria, Rika, Budi Baik Budi, Aio from Ayo Dongeng Indonesia.
Support for FDII 2016 is a proof of Nutricia's commitment to always support Indonesian parents, especially mothers during child development. By participating in this activity, parents will get various information and knowledge that can help them when telling stories to children
Children who are usually told, especially at an early age in the golden period, will remember these good habits until they grow up. This is what we want to support and realize through our participation in FDII 2016. Through fairy tales, parents can provide education about nutrition to their children in more interesting ways such as through illustrations and pictures followed by rhythmic sounds.” Clearly, Fauziah Syafarina Nasution, Head of External Communications ELN - Indonesia.
