Danone
Danone started operating in Indonesia in 1998 by signing a strategic alliance with Aqua, the Indonesian bottled drinking water brand launched in 1973. With this partnership, Aqua strengthens its market position to become the largest producer of bottled mineral water in Indonesia. In 2005, Danone Indonesia launched Mizone, which was a roll-out of the beverage brand success story that originated in China.
In addition to its water business, Danone established the Nutrition Nutrition Division in Early Life in Indonesia in 2008 by acquiring Royal Numico NV which included PT Sarihusada and PT Nutricia Indonesia Sejahtera. PT Sarihusada is a pioneer in the development and production of nutritious products in Indonesia, which launched the legendary SGM brand in 1965.
